Data Scientist / Business Intelligence Analyst

The Data Scientist/Business Intelligence Analyst hybrid will be responsible for working with stakeholders to identify and define business problems and/or opportunities and coming up with solutions using statistical models and techniques. These business problems and opportunities could span across marketing, operations and billing functions. This role will also have an integral part in evaluating and selecting statistical tools and have opportunity to use the latest technology platforms in Tableau, TalenD and AWS (RDS, Redshift and S3).

* Build and apply statistical models to solve business problems * Identify and understand source data systems and become an expert of data sources and flows. * Analyze data and provide recommendations for business performance optimization, cost analysis and profitability. * Stay current on applicable machine learning techniques and their associated programming methods * Act as an internal SME for new statistics and machine learning techniques * Review, assess current state and identify improvement opportunities and best practice recommendations.

* Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Applied Statistics or an equivalent quantitative field * 3+ years hand on programming experience with R, Python, SAS or comparable platform * 3+ years writing and testing SQL * End-to-end experience applying statistics and machine learning including ETL, data quality check, model validation and scoring * 3+ years experience in relational database concepts with hands-on experience with MySQL, PostGRES, Oracle, or MSSQL * BI/Visualization tools experience (Tableau, DOMO, Qlik) preferred
