Summary

We are seeking a highly organized Financial Services Sales Associate to maintain positive relationships with existing accounts and to support new business development in partnership with our Financial Services Sr. Sales Professionals as well as track the competitive landscape, understand target markets and create market insights to inform product strategy and impact go to market programs.

With more than 25 trillion rows of data in our private cloud, 1010data is designed to scale to the largest volumes of granular data, the most disparate and varied data sets, and the most complex advanced analytics. All while delivering lightning-quick system performance.

Working on our highly differentiated data product s that are quickly becoming an industry standard with some of the most powerful hedge funds on Wall Street, you will be interacting on a daily basis with investment clients to advise them on how to integrate our data in the investment process; making you privy to unique industry insight on how these funds operate.

Working under the accomplished guidance of our Sr. Sales Professionals, you will engage directly with portfolio managers, analysts, and data analysts.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain ongoing open communication with existing clients, including gathering feedback, ensuring they are aware of product features and enhancements, supporting data questions or issues, and identifying new opportunities 1010data can help clients
  • Coordinate and participate in providing end-user education and training
  • Coordinate with various support groups within 1010data to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with 1010data’s analysts to demonstrate 1010data’s offering and communicate its value proposition
  • Create and maintain plans and pipeline metrics which will be regularly reviewed by Financial Services Senior Sales Professionals. This includes an exhaustive pipeline that details prospect development (ticker holding info, relevant products, potential users, conversion potential, and our position as a provider as it relates to competitors)
Ideal Candidate

Education & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Finance a plus
  • 1+ professional sales and/or service environment (OR) impressive internships within an investment bank, asset manager, hedge fund, or similar financial sales development role

Skills

  • Understanding of financial markets, specifically equities markets
  • Very strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; including a thick skin and sense of refinement when dealing with portfolio managers, analysts, and modelers
  • Supreme organizational skills in managing all facets of existing account details (existing and potential users, contract details, individual client sector/stock focus and investment style)
  • Results oriented, strong time management skills and able to make trade-offs and link execution with strategy
  • Strong MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
  • Strong goal orientation and work-ethic
