Test Technician

In 2015, TRW Automotive was acquired by global automobile supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG. ZF TRW is now a division of the parent company, with headquarters in Livonia, Michigan.

• CV, DV, and PV Performance and Endurance/Durability Testing of ZF TRW SCS Components.
• Build and maintain SCS test equipment.Makes routine measurements, arithmetic computations, observes and records instrument readings and assists higher-grade technicians.
• Performs both work based primarily on established practices and variable sequence testing that may not be standardized and uses a variety of specifications and reference guides in selecting and adapting procedures.
• Adapts to execute engineering requests with supervision and mentoring from Senior Product Technicians and above.
• Develops a background of knowledge and understanding of engineering practice based on ongoing substantial, training and acquired experience.
• The test procedures require some experimental skill and judgment to achieve accurate and reproducible data.

• High School Diploma. 2 year Associates or Specialized Technical Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in lab testing environment.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs.
• Report writing / data presentation experience
• Strong mechanical / electrical background.
• Machine shop skills (mill, lathe, drills, etc..)
• Blueprint reading and familiarity with GD&T.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, ABS, or braking systems.
• Familiarity with ISO / IEC 17025 conformance requirements.
• Experience with Labview testing software.
