Summary
We are looking for a Principal Front-End Engineer who is motivated to design and implement state-of-the-art front-end web applications. They are a master of their craft and enjoy building out best-practice patterns and abstractions. The Principal Front-End Engineer will take time to evaluate emerging technologies and proposes strategic, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to increase the efficiency, reliability, and deployment of software products. The Principal Front-End Engineer is the first line supervisor for the other Front-End engineers and will be mentoring the other developers on the team. This is a regular, full-time position. Responsibilities Technical mentor to the Front-end team Develop and guide the strategic vision of the Front-End technologies Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability and 508 compliance Build reusable code and libraries for future use Develop unit tests with 80% coverage Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Provide leadership to the team on best-practices Required Strong understanding of ES6/7, React.js, Redux or comparable client-side scripting JavaScript frameworks Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and gRPC Strong understanding of Docker or other application container platform Strong understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Experience with Agile development practices and the SDLC Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team oriented environment Must be located at or near San Diego, or remotely in the Denver area Desired Full-stack experience desired Strong understanding of Unity and gaming technologies Experience with MongoDB, Webpack Experience with K8S or other container technology Experience with Azure or other cloud service providers Experience working with remote teams A self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented individual who loves to learn Existing US Government security clearance a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Cybersecurity knowledge Preferred on location in San Diego/Boulder Colo.
